We are lucky enough to have friends who are renovating their home! Lucky, because that usually means a crazy big skip bin out the front, filled with potential!!  When we checked out the beautiful renos, I happened to spy a wooden pallet which was heading for land fill.

Our lovely friend rescued the pallet for me and I was able to transform it into a set of shelves to hold our family photos. I had the vision, and my husband had the creativity to build exactly what I wanted…….

and after a couple of coats of paint my shelves were ready to hang!!!

I love all the imperfections and originality this pallet brings to our home. It also brings with it a story, starts a conversation and reminds us all that a little creativity and upcycling can reduce waste and show respect for our environment. One little pallet, saving one big planet.
